I would suggest adding them in the last 1-2 hours or so if you do want to try adding them to the mix, they will just be more cooked than if you add them separately at the end. Hope that helps! I am not sure as to the weight of the breasts I have used but I would say they were medium sized (ie. Not the gigantic hormone fed ones). I used bone-in breasts for mine, but I am sure boneless would also work. I have not tried cooking this recipe on low heat but if you do I would suggest trying for 6-8 hours instead.
